Elrond persuades Arwen in The Two Towers epic adventure film to accept immortality and journey to Valinor so that her love for Aragorn can – bloom evergreen. Arwen sentimentally accepts advice of Elrond to depart Middle-earth when he informs her that he has predicted her widowhood and ultimate death. Elrond speaks telepathically with Galadriel later in the movie about destiny of Rohan. He offers to send a detachment of Elvish soldiers to aid men of Théoden at Helms Deep. It is noteworthy however, that the Elves from Lothlórien, not Rivendell, arrive at Helms Deep close to the start of the Hornburg Battle. After seeing a vision of her own future son, Eldarion, early in the movie The Return of the King, Arwen confronts Elrond. Seeing that love of Arwen for Aragorn is unbreakable, Elrond consents to transform sword of Elendil, Narsil, into Andúril. Later, after delivering Andúril to Aragorn at Dunharrow, Elrond exhorts him to seize back throne of Gondor and assume leadership of the Army of the Dead. Elrond does not make another appearance until the epilogue of the movie, when he hands Arwen to Aragorn during the coronation of the latter. Elrond makes one final appearance at Grey Havens before leaving Middle-earth with Frodo, Galadriel, Gandalf, Celeborn, and Bilbo.
