Parsa Parsahya Puthra Ariya Ariyachitra -- -- A Persian, The Son of a Persian, An Arya, having Arya Lineage – Explicit Inscription found at the Tomb of Darius I (522-486 BCE) located at the archaeological site and necropolis of Naqsh-e-Rostam, some 12 km north-west of Persepolis in the Fars Province of Iran. Apart from rock-cut reliefs dating from the Elamites to Achaemenid to Sasanid dynasties of ancient Iran, Naqsh-e-Rostam is also home to four tombs of Achaemenid Kings of Iran, chiselled out on rock-faces at sufficient house above the ground. Apart from the tomb of Darius I, the other three tombs are projected to be of Xerxes I (486-465 BCE), Artaxerxes I (465-424 BCE), and Darius II (423-404 BC) respectively. The façade of each tomb is provided with a horizontal beam, considered to be a replica of the main entrance of the ceremonious capital Persepolis of the Achaemenid Empire. Because it has numerous archaeological sites cut into the rock wall over the course of more than a millennium, from the Elamites and Achaemenids to the Sasanians, this site is extremely important to Iranian history. With four sizable tombs carved deep into the cliff face, Naqsh-e Rostam is the necropolis of the Achaemenid dynasty, which flourished between 550 and 330 BC. Rock reliefs depicting colossal depictions of Sasanian kings, some in battle and others while meeting gods, are located well below the Achaemenid tombs, close to ground level. The most well-known depicts the Sasanian king Shapur I riding a horse, Philip the Arab holding the horse of Shapur, and the Roman Emperor Valerian bowing to him in submission.
