The West Sikkim District of Sikkim, India, is home to the alpine glacial lake known as Samiti Lake. The lake is situated at the base of the Onglakthang Valley, which is part of the Himalaya mountain range and is near to the bases of the mountains Pandim and Kangchenjunga. The elevation of the lake ranges from 4,200 to 4,300 meters. The lake is 230 meters broad at its widest point during maximum saturation.
