During the Middle Ages, the primary residence of the Bishop of Winchester was Wolvesey Castle in Winchester, Hampshire, England. With the exception of its chapel from the fifteenth century, which is now a part of Wolvesey Palace, the current home bishop, the castle, which was mostly constructed in the 12th century by Henry of Blois, is now a ruin.
