Situated on the Harewood Estate in Harewood, West Yorkshire, England, Harewood Castle is a 14th-century stone hall house and courtyard fortress. It is a grade I listed structure. The De Lisle family built the castle in the twelfth century, and after Sir William de Aldeburgh married Elizabeth de Lisle, heiress of Harewood, who was given permission to crenellate in 1366, it belonged to him.
