In Carinthia, Austria, Niederfalkenstein Castle is a medieval stronghold close to Obervellach. It is a part of the greater Falkenstein fortification complex. The lower barbican of Niederfalkenstein is mostly intact, but main stronghold of Oberfalkenstein is now a ruin.
