In Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, North Hylton neighbourhood of England, sits the stone castle known as Hylton Castle. The Hilton family first constructed it in wood soon after the Norman Conquest in 1066. Later, in the late 14th and early 15th centuries, it was rebuilt in stone.
