The abandoned stronghold known as Dudley Castle is located in the English West Midlands town of Dudley. Constructed shortly after the Norman Conquest as a wooden motte and bailey fortress, it was rebuilt as a stone structure in the eleventh century and later dismantled by Henry II of England.
