In 1178, the Battle of Kasahrada, sometimes called the Battle of Kayadara or the Battle of Gadararaghatta, took place in the present-day Kasahrada in the Sirohi district of Rajasthan, close to Mount Abu. It was fought between the invading Ghurid armies under Muhammad of Ghor and the Hindu Rajput Confederacy under Mularaja II of the Chaulukya dynasty of Gujarat.
