Situated in the village of Modhera in the Mehsana district of Gujarat, India, the Sun Temple of Modhera is a Hindu temple devoted to the solar deity Surya. The temple was built after 1026–1027 CE, during the reign of Bhima I of the Chaulukya dynasty, and is located on the Pushpavati River.
