Situated near the hamlet of Outhgill and south of Kirkby Stephen in Mallerstang Dale, Cumbria, is the ruin known as Pendragon Castle. It is located above a bend in the River Eden, with Mallerstang Edge to the east and Wild Boar Fell to the southwest. It is a Grade I listed building. Legend has it that Uther Pendragon, the father of King Arthur, constructed the castle.
